Sounds of Change Academy movie and end of the year message
It’s almost Christmas and the end of the year so we’re very proud and excited to share something special with you!
Documentary maker Joris Postema has made a short film about our Sounds of Change Academy in the Netherlands. Joris and his team followed us during 2021 and 2022 to capture the training of eight Musical Changemakers, including their delivery of six weekly music workshops for the children of four different asylum centres in the Netherlands.
In the film you can also see Sounds of Change trainers Lucas Dols and Hashem Kabreet talking about the power of music and where the idea of starting an academy came from.

We have much more to share with you having just returned from our second training session with the War Child team in Lebanon. A truly fantastic week which we will feature more closely in our next ’Stories of Change’ newsletter.
Next year we will continue our work in Lebanon, Cyprus, as well as online with teachers and psychologists in Ukraine. We will also start new projects in Romania, Kurdistan (Northern Iraq), Syria, Jordan and the Netherlands.
