Our Mission
Music changes the world, because it changes people
We use music to help people develop into positive changemakers in their community. We believe that the world needs strong community builders in order to encourage social change. Our aim is to improve the quality of life where it is urgently needed with the help of music and our positive changemakers.
We want to react against alienation* in places where people have become disconnected with themselves, their community or their direct environment, during times of rapid social change. (for example, due to wars, large migration flows, or changes of ideology).
We strive to strengthen communities from within, by tapping into the power and abilities they already have. We use music to search for a way to access the inherent potential of communities. This way they can raise their voice as individuals and as a community.
*By alienation we mean the feeling that one is not attuned with oneself, as well as the feeling that one is detached from society. The feeling of powerlessness and not having any agency nor influence on ones own future. These feelings arise most commonly in times of rapid social change.
" I learned that each one of us have something to present. Even though someone is not specialised in a specific thing, he or she is still allowed to pose an idea or have an opinion about it. It’s good to listen to each other, because you can learn something from everyone. Every opinion is valuable".
